The Wind is Rising.
The Orders are Clear.
I’m not here to whisper you into comfort—I’m here to help you wake up, armor up, and march out with the Word of God like it still means something. Because it does. If the Spirit’s been stirring… then welcome to the front line.

I’m S.C. Bailey—Army Nurse Corps Veteran, full-time caregiver, and Scripture-soaked snarkologist.
After 30 years as a registered nurse, I found myself stepping into a different kind of battlefield: one of faith, calling, and spiritual urgency. While caring for my mother with dementia, I felt the unmistakable tug of the Holy Spirit to use my voice, my story, and my keyboard to reach others—especially those who feel overwhelmed, under-equipped, or just a little too burned by religion to trust Jesus again.
I started Faithfully Thinking as a digital discipleship mission: part blog, part book hub, part bootcamp. My goal? To help everyday believers learn the Bible in practical, powerful, and joy-filled ways—with a little holy sass and a whole lot of Jesus.
Also, yes, Sophie the Pomeranian and Kitty the cat run the house. I just work here.
When my dog Barney died in August of 2024 very unexpectedly, I was in a terrible situation financially so I couldn't afford to bring him to the Vet. I was overcome with grief, and I didn't know what to do, so I prayed. We have a small yard at our house and so I figured I'd bury him. But, the problem was when we moved here several years ago, all of my tools were stolen in the move. So I called a friend to see if I could borrow a shovel, and she said her husband would come and help me but they had to finish what they were doing first. Well, it took longer than I thought. I had brought him outside and wrapped him in some old towels awaiting my friend to show. Well, unfortunately, and unknown to me, my neighbor who lived behind me had brought out the kids and they found him. He came and knocked on our door and he told me what happened. I felt so terrible that the kids found him. I explained what had happened and of course began to get pretty teary. He understood, but had called the Police and Animal Control because he thought his Landlord had done something terrible (he has MAJOR Landlord issues as I learned). We cleared things up with them, and then since it was taking so long I asked by neighbor across the street if she had a shovel. She did and brought if over. My neighbor from behind us took over and buried my Barney for me. It was really nice of him and I thanked him profusely.
I had asked God what to do, and He delivered very quickly! While it was terribly sad, it was so nice to get Barney properly taken care of and so quickly with the help of some great neighbors and God's help. That's when I really learned His provision is legendary, and He is always on time!
